60th Scrolls Anniversary
Westminster Synagogue and the Memorial Scrolls Trust look forward to welcoming Scroll Holder Communities and their scrolls on Sunday 4 February at 2pm to their celebratory service to mark the rescue of the scrolls and their arrival in Knightsbridge, London.
Memorial Scrolls Trust Museum Tour
There will be opportunities to visit the Memorial Scrolls Trust Museum during the week. They hope you are able to make the most of the weekend by having a guided tour.
Tours will be offered at the following times:
- Thursday, 1 February 10am; 12pm; 3:30pm; 5:30pm
- Friday, 2 February 10am; 12pm; 3pm; 5pm
- Saturday, 3 February 1pm; 3pm
- Sunday, 4 February 10am; 12pm; 3:30pm; 5:30pm
Please do confirm which tour you would prefer to join, and how many people you believe will attend.
Should you wish to have a tour outside of these times, please contact info@memorialscrollstrust.org and they will be happy to find a suitable time.

Film Screening: Commandment 613
Thursday 1 February, 7pm
As part of the Scrolls 60th Celebrations, they invite you to a special screening of Commandment 613, a 23-minute documentary looking at the work of Rabbi Kevin Hale as he practices the sacred craft of a Torah scribe, bringing new life to scrolls that were saved in Czechoslovakia during the Second World War. They are delighted to welcome sofer Rabbi Hale and director Miriam Lewin who will join them at Kent House, as they enjoy the film, as well as a special Q&A session. They will also be offering a tour of the Museum for those in Kent House after the screening.

Community Shabbat Dinner
Friday 2 February, 6:30pm
As part of our celebrations for the Scrolls 60th Anniversary, they invite you to join them for Shabbat Dinner alongside other Scroll holding communities. This will be a wonderful chance to meet people from other communities as well as our own as they welcome in Shabbat together with a delicious buffet meal following our Shabbat Evening Service. If there is interest, they will be looking at also holding a Challah Bake from 1pm on the day. If you would be interested in joining this, please let me know!

Shabbat Morning Service and Bat Mitzvah

Westminster Synagogue are honoured to be holding a Bar Mitzvah on this Shabbat, where a member of our community will be reading from our Czech Scroll as he marks this important milestone celebration. They hope you can join them for this occasion, as well as the communal Kiddush afterwards.
